Welcome!

When Bozidor and Margarete Stojanovic came to Adelaide 50 years ago, they brought with them the culture and cuisine of Yugoslavia. This was a great advantage when they established in the Adelaide CBD the original BBQ Inn, which they ran successfully for 20 years, before selling up and taking a well-earned break.

The break was short-lived however, and it was not long before the decision was made to open another BBQ Inn at Glenelg. Together with their daughter and son-in-law, they have operated at that venue for the past 28 years.

Unlike most restaurants, BBQ Inn customers can select meat from the extensive array in the display cabinets, and have it cooked to their exact requirements on the large charcoal grill.

The cuts of meat are prepared on the premises, and customers can choose from huge T-bones, rump, porterhouse or fillet steaks, guaranteed to satisfy even the healthiest appetite.

Shaslicks are particularly popular, with beef, lamb, chicken or prawn available.
All meats are served with continental or garlic bread, together with potato, cabbage, tomato and onion salad, prepared in the traditional Yugoslav manner. The restaurant, which seats 70, is fully licensed, and has a comprehensive wine list, plus an excellent selection of beers and liqueurs. Not surprisingly, cappuccino, espresso and hot chocolate are a pleasant way to end a perfect meal at Glenelg BBQ Inn. For almost tree decades, the Glenelg BBQ Inn has been a local icon, patronised by residents, tourists and visitors to Glenelg.

We are open for lunch Sunday to Friday from noon until 2:30pm, and every night for dinner between 5:30 and 9:30pm.
